A commercial kitchen floor needs to pass inspection, prevent slip injuries, resist daily chemical cleaning, and survive years of brutal service. Our seamless industrial-grade epoxy systems meet all of that — and we install overnight so your kitchen never misses a service.
Restaurant and food service environments are the most demanding flooring conditions we encounter. Grease, hot water, caustic degreasers, steam, bleach, and constant foot traffic combine in ways that destroy ordinary epoxy systems within years — sometimes months.
We specify industrial-grade epoxy with a quartz broadcast aggregate for anti-slip performance, coved bases up the wall to prevent moisture ingress, and heat-resistant topcoats rated for regular steam cleaning and hot-water washdowns. The result is a floor that satisfies Vancouver Coastal Health inspectors and survives your kitchen team's demanding schedule.
Every kitchen is different. A ghost kitchen in East Vancouver has different needs than a full-service hotel kitchen or a licensed food processing facility.
Our most popular kitchen system. Broadcast coloured quartz into the wet epoxy base for superior R11–R12 anti-slip texture, then seal with a chemical-resistant clear topcoat. Handles grease, steam, and commercial degreasers without breakdown.
We apply epoxy cove base 4–6 inches up the wall, creating a continuous seamless transition from floor to wall. Eliminates the joint where bacteria accumulates behind baseboards — required by Vancouver Coastal Health for most commercial kitchen classifications.
For wet kitchen areas with floor drains, we can feather the epoxy to improve positive drainage slope where the existing concrete is too flat. Eliminates standing water pooling that leads to slip hazards and bacterial growth.
For walk-in coolers and freezers, we use MMA or cryogenic-rated polyurea systems that flex with temperature changes without cracking. Cures in sub-zero temperatures and returns to service in under two hours.
Our kitchen flooring systems are installed to meet BC's food premises regulations under the Food Safety Act. The seamless, coved, easy-sanitize surfaces satisfy health inspectors on the first visit — not after a re-inspection. We're familiar with VCH requirements and can document the installation for your records.
Most restaurant kitchen floors are completed Sunday night through Monday morning, or over a holiday closure. We align our schedule with your service calendar, not the other way around. For large facilities, we can section the kitchen so half remains operational during installation.
"We had a Vancouver Coastal Health inspection coming up and our old quarry tile kitchen floor had failed grout everywhere. Deluxe Coating came in on a Sunday — removed the old tile, ground the concrete, and installed a full seamless quartz epoxy system with coved base in one shot. We passed our inspection with zero deficiencies. Incredible team."
